But as we battle with sweaty bedrooms and scorching sunlight, it’s easy to forget the impact of extreme temperatures on our gadgets.
The Apple iPhone is at particular risk during very cold or very hot temperatures, with its performance being directly affected by the weather.

- malfunctioning camera
- performance issues
- long-term battery problems

You should also consider reducing your screen’s brightness as this could contribute to higher temperatures.
Keeping your device concealed in a bag when you’re in a hot car or outdoors could also prevent it getting too hot in direct sunlight.
If your device does overheat and you get a hot temperature warning, putting it in a dark place such as a cupboard could help it cool off. It’s probably not a good idea to put it in the fridge or freezer as the condensation could damage the iPhone even more.
