The rumour mills around Apple iPhone 14 launch have picked up pace and are now moving along furiously as the Apple Fall Event 2022 draws closer. The myriad leaks hint that the standard iPhone 14 will likely be more or less an iPhone 13 with some upgrades. On the contrary, the iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to get major changes on board. Whether it is about the design, camera boost or the new A16 Bionic Chipset, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are all set to be unveiled with some big upgrades. And then there is the iPhone 14 Max, which some have dubbed as the ‘Dark Horse’, which may steal the thunder away from all the other iPhone 14 models. The collective efforts of leaks, rumours, and analysis by Apple experts have contributed to painting a clearer picture of the next Apple flagship. In his latest newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, has confidently claimed that the iPhone 14 series is likely to be launched on September 7, while the first sale is expected just nine days later on September 16.
iPhone 14 expected specs
We have gained an ample amount of information about the design of the iPhone 14 series. The Pro models are ready to say goodbye to the famous notch design that remained on the iPhones for so long. Instead, it will be a new i-shaped punch hole cut display. Unfortunately, the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max (or, iPhone 14 Plus) are said to have an old design, just like iPhone 13.
Not just that, the Pro models are expected to pack an A16 Bionic chipset while the non-Pro version will get an A15 Bionic chipset which we have seen in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also, there will be a jump to 48MP for the main camera on 14 Pro and Pro Max.
In terms of the iPhone 14 battery, there could be some improvements too. A leaker has claimed that the iPhone 14 may have a 3,279mAh battery, the Pro with a 3,200mAh, and the iPhone 14 Max and Pro Max may come with a much bigger 4,325mAh.
iPhone 14 expected price
Big upgrades may translate into a big price hike! So far, the leaks have claimed that the iPhone 14 Pro models may get a price increase of around $100. That means, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are said to get a price tag of $1,099 and $1,199 respectively, as several leaks and reports have claimed in the past.
However, the base iPhone is tipped to start at $799 – the same as the iPhone 13 price. While the new max-ed version of the iPhone 14 may get a $100 hike in the price.
But wait! Another recent leak has suggested that there will be a $150 price hike for all iPhone 14 models. So, if you are collecting money to buy the phone after launch, do factor in that amount into the equation too.
